How to replace a cabinet hinge?

We are trying to replace a broken hinge and not having much luck with the first few attempts not seeming to fit. The old hinge holes seem to be a long way from the edge of the door and all the ones we have tried appear to be designed to be closer to the edge so the arm keeps catching. The 2 photos show the different designs and the one we need to replace is the 2nd one (with the lighters) where you will see the hinge is much further from the edge (and the door when open has a big gap from the cupboard. Also adding a photo of the broken hinge if anyone recognizes the brand.,

I dont recognise the hinges (not to say they are unusual 🙂 but I dont install them frequently to see by look.

I do have a suggestion to find as close a match as possible. Take off the hinge or even undo those two screws that hold the door to the interior of the cupboard and take the whole door into Bunnings 🙂 I have lugged things in before to make sure of stuff. In the kitchen install aisle there should be hinges of differant types, (I have a memory of differant varieties being available a couple of years ago) If not the Kitchen order people will should know what type your existing hinge is.

Here's a helpful guide: How to replace a kitchen cabinet door hinges. It explains the different styles of hinges you're likely to encounter. I suspect your hinge is so long due to it being more than a 90-degree opening door. As @Dave-1 mentioned your best bet is the take the hinge into a Bunnings store and get a helpful team member to check what we have available. If nothing suits our range, then it's likely a proprietary hinge, and you might need to consider replacing it with something more commonly available.
