How to sand the walls and ceiling?

I have to do sanding on walls and ceiling. I have a multi purpose tool (picture attached) when I am sanding the paper comes off very quickly.

Any advice that do I need a new proper sander or what to do?

Thank you for your question.

When you say that the paper comes off, do you mean the paper face of the plasterboard? Are you sanding plasterboard?

If so, I wouldn't advise using a multitool as your sanding will be too localised, causing the paper face of your plasterboard to wear through quickly.

Some better options for sanding walls and ceilings include:

Sanding Sponges - for small, fine detail hand sanding
Pole Sander - for hand sanding larger areas
Rocket 230mm Giant Sanding Tool - my personal choice of pole sanding tool
Powered Drywall Sander - Power tool designed for sanding plasterboard.

Any of the above tools should work but if you could advise specifics about your project, I could point you towards a specific tool.
