How to seal bottom of internal doors?

Hi everyone, apologies in advance if this argument has been treated already.

I would like to seal the bottom of some of the internal door in my apartment (21mm roughly).

Precisely bedroom door and bathrooms door.
This is mostly for a cosmetic point of view but wouldn’t mind blocking the drafts when bathroom windows is open, or exhaust fan ON.

I have used this item for the front door:

but I’d rather use something properly made for internal door.

Thank you

Re: How to seal bottom of internal doors?

Hi @MartinB84,

Thank you for your question about addressing the gap beneath your bathroom door.

I can't say I'm aware of any door seals that are specifically designed for internal doors, as they are more commonly used on entrance doors, but this doesn't mean we can't use them on an internal door.

As your door is swinging towards where you've taken your photos, you'll need an outward swinging door seal. As you'd like to stop drafts as well as cover the gap, I'd suggest using a face-mounted rubber seal such as a Raven RP5 Door Seal or a Moroday Silver Screw On Compact Door Seal.

There are also similar options that use adhesive strips instead of screws, but in a moist environment like a bathroom, they're unlikely to last as long.

Let me know what you think.

Jacob

Thanks for your advice Jacob, I’ll swing by tomorrow and have a look at those 2 options 💪🏻
