How to strengthen the corner of an old wooden frame window?

I have a old wooden window that has sagging corners. I was thinking of cutting in a slot on the face and inserting a piece of wood or other to add strengthen and then filling over. Will this work and do Bunnings sell pre made wedges ect.

Re: How to strengthen the corner of an old wooden frame window

Hello @Kym3

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your window.

Would it be possible for you to post a few photos of your timber window frame? This will give our members a chance to assess its condition. We can then make recommendations on how to proceed.

There is a product called timber biscuits and it's used to link timber together; it might be possible to use it on your window frame. But it's important that we see its current condition first.

If you need a hand posting the photos, please let me know.

Eric
