Lockwood: Night Latch or Double Cylinder Deadlatch?

I would like to replace my lockwood night latch with a Lockwood 001 Double Cylinder 001 Deadlatch.

Is this a direct swap - ie., will the hole(s) I already have in my door for the night latch line up with the 001 Deadlatch ?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your deadlatch.

The Lockwood 001 Double Cylinder Deadlatch is not a direct swap as a larger hole will need to be drilled to install it in place. But you could get lucky as the hole in your current night latch might be just enough. The only way to find out is to uninstall your night latch and test the deadlatch fittings.
