Steps

Step 1

Wreath

How to Make a Halloween Wreath

https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSNhch3Ce/

A halloween wreath is a great way to add a little fun to the spooky season. They’re simple to make and can add to a full outdoor display or as a standalone decor item.

To create mine I used the following

🎃 Skeleton string lights from @ bunnings

🎃 Flower stems from @ bunnings painted with flat black @ Dulux Duramax

Wrap the skeleton lights around the wreath, I always share with lights

I cut my flowers down to a desired size and wired 3 stems together before wiring it to the wreath. I repeated this on the other side and added the black rose to hide the wire.

I added some spiders and spooky cloth I had behind the wreath across the door like a web.

Have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!

Step 2

Witches Broom

DIY Witches Broom

I absolutely love this broom and this has to be one of the easiest and cheapest DIY’s.

What you need

🎃Branch from the garden

🎃Gnarly looking branches. I cut some dead branches from a tree near out house.

You can remove the bark from the branch and make the stick smooth but I loved the rustic look.

Take your gnarly branches and break them down to the desired length, try to keep them consistent.

Hold them around the branch and wind the twine until you get the desired look and the gnarly branches are secure.

⚠️ It’s best not to fly at night unless you plan to install lights.

Have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!

Step 3

Ghost Candle Holder

I love how this little candle holder turned out and they’re so simple to make.

All you need is

🎃 white air dry clay

🎃 Water

🎃 Small paint brush (optional)

With wet fingers work the clay into a cylinder shape and push the candle down into the clay to shape the holder. Remove the candle then using your wet fingers or the wet paint brush smooth out the clay.

Leave for 24hours to dry. If the candle doesn’t fit snug in the holder once it’s dry heat the bottom of the candle to allow it to melt into the holder.

Step 4

Upcycled bottles & flowers

To create our spooktacular porch there were a number of items i wanted to upcycle.

What you need

Flat Black Spray Paint @ Bunnings

Faux Flowers of your choosing @ bunnings

Dolls house

Glass bottles, I used Gin and wine bottles as I wanted different shapes.

Mirror

I sprayed all of the items matte black.

To remove the labels from the bottles I submerged them in a pot of boiling water for a minute and wiped away the label.

You could also use orange or purple as an accent to the black decor.

I sprayed all of the items matte black.

Happy DIYing
