Trouble fitting screen door for entrance

Hope someone can help, I want to install a security door for my front entrance but the door handle is making things very difficult. The handle sticks out a bit and doesn’t leave room within the door frame for a screen door.
Would love some suggestions please 😀

Our ever-helpful community members might have some other suggestions for you, but I wonder whether you have considered replacing your door handle with a deadbolt? I see from your photos that you have handles on both sides of the door (inside and out) so don't need the knob.
