Upcycled Pine timber buffet & hutch

Upcycled Pine timber buffet & hutch

This is my completed upcycling project where I transformed an old Pine Timber Buffet & Hutch into a stylish Coastal meets Hampton cabinet. I wanted a fresh look without the price tag of new furniture.  The project involved cleaning and scuff sanding the wood, replacing the particle board with VJ panels from Bunnings, and applying a primer. I then applied two coats of chalk paint in 'white linen' and sealed the finish with a wax. To complete the transformation, I added black handles from Bunnings, giving the piece a fresh, modern look while maintaining its classic charm.

Re: Upcycled Pine timber buffet & hutch

I am about to embark on my first project which is a 1980s pine buffet and hutch. I've been doing research and only stumbled on this post and wow! The same piece of furniture and step by step instructions which I really need. Thank you so much for posting this as I feel, not so much as more confident, but better equipped to upcycle what is really a nice piece of furniture.
