I’m desperately trying to find a sealer for concrete, resincrete and hydro stone candle vessels but not no luck so far…
I just need something resistant to wax and oil and that can withstand 50-90 degree Celsius max.
They have
H‑Seal Concrete Countertop Worktop Sealer in the US, surely we have something equivalent here??
I hope someone can help me!
thank you!
Mimi
Hi @mimib,
I'm assuming you are looking to create candle moulds or something similar. Would that be correct?
I've spoken with the technical team at Cromellins, who are our main supplier for concrete sealers. They have unfortunately informed me that they do not have a product that was designed for that purpose.
The solution they recommended was to grab one of these Crommelin 250ml DiamondCoat Satin Sealer Sample Pots and give it a try. It is not tested and guaranteed for this use, but at $10.90 for a small pot, it is certainly worth a try and at 50-90 degrees celsius, there's a good chance it would work.
Unfortunately, outside of this, I am unaware of a solution that would be suitable.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
Hey JacobZ,
Thank you so, so much for your prompt response ![]()
Yes, I'm looking at making candle vessels and there are a few products that may work, including the one you mentioned.
The main issue is that I want to sell the candles and make sure my insurance covers me in case a customer has an issue but cannot find anything that actually says it is heat resistant...
Oh well, I appreciate you trying to help regardless
Thank you!
