This flip-top mobile tool stand saves space in the workshop by pivoting between the tool being used and the one stored away.

The project
I’ve been running out of space in my garage/workshop so I built a couple of mobile stands to house our Ryobi tools.

This flip-top tool stand holds our belt sander and thicknesser while the folding-wing mitre table is for my Ryobi Dual Bevel Mitre Saw. Super happy with how they both work.
The flip-top mechanism pivots on a piece of 20mm galvanised pipe housed between two side supports. It locks in using eyebolts and hex head bolts.
