Our old stainless steel dishwasher now has rust marks. How do you remove them?

Thanks for sharing your question about removing rust on your dishwasher. I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How to remove rust from dishwasher? by @pojectmumdanni. I've made some recommendations on how to remove the rust on the dishwasher surface.
However, in order to get a better idea of the rust damage on your dishwasher, would it be possible for you to post a photo of the door and the parts where the rust is occurring. If the rust is really dug in it might be necessary to use steel wool to scour the rust off the surface.
