Recycled pavers cut and laid on compacted sand and road base for a side path.

The project
My parents backyard needed a bit of work. We got a few quotes on what could be done and nothing was really working, budget-wise, for my parents. We decided to get some pavers and level the area out.
We searched for 400 x 400mm pavers and after six months of searching, we found 157 pavers.

We ordered three tonnes of road base and 2.5 tonnes of bedding sand. We removed the grass and compacted the dirt. Next we laid 50mm of road base and compacted. Then we laid 40mm of bedding sand and compacted it down.

Then we started to lay the pavers. We used 125mm angle grinder with a diamond blade cutting wheel to cut the pavers to shape the existing footpath, and used a rubber mallet to tap everything in place.
