How to install a dishwasher in the laundry?

Question

Hi, I am hoping to install a new dishwasher into our laundry (as we have limited space in the kitchen). Hoping to get some advice on how I can do this and any attachments I may need. Pictures attached for context.

I am thinking I will need an attachment to split the water intake? and also another attachment to combine the water drainage?  Any advice appreciated.

Washing machine is: Samsung WA65F5S6 6.kg top loader

Dishwasher: Everdure 45cm

I wouldn't recommend using any fittings with plastic on them @Devi1. Instead, you could have a plumber split that outlet with a Eagle Tee Female 20mm Brass and two Eagle Hex Nipple 20mm Brass.

Thanks for such a quick and helpful reply. I am living in NZ - I can't seem to find the Nylex Brass two way manifold in the NZ bunnings store. Is there an alternative you could recommend? Would the Holman metal 2 way outlet work: https://www.bunnings.co.nz/holman-metal-2-way-outlet_p3120268

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Devi1. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a dishwasher.

You might like to check out this previous discussion: How to install a dishwasher in a laundry. My colleague suggests using a Nylex Brass Two Way Manifold to split the existing 20mm outlet.

Fitting the two outlet hoses onto your sink trap might be more difficult. If it is a single spigot sink trap, you'll need a plumber to swap it out for a Holman 50mm S&P Trap Combo Set. That way, the two outlet hoses can be pushed straight onto it. Attaching both machines' waste hoses to the one spigot would not be a good idea as if both machines are dumping water simultaneously, the single spigot will reduce their flow, leading to machine failure and or/error codes.
