How do I improve my front yard?

Recently bought this house and wanting to improve the font yard and curb appeal. Hoping that some nice landscaping and paved pathway from the gate in the fence might help. Already plan on redoing the grass as it is mostly weeds & will likely remove the current compacted dirt area to increase the space that can be landscaped. Open to any ideas, thanks in advance 🙂

Congratulations on your new home! I'm sure this time is full off wonderful ideas to make it your own. Improving your front yard and enhancing curb appeal sounds like an exciting project! Adding landscaping elements such as flower beds, shrubs, and trees can bring vibrancy and character to your space. Incorporating a paved pathway from the gate in the fence is a fantastic idea, providing both functionality and visual interest. Redoing the grass and expanding the landscaped area will further enhance the overall look. Consider integrating elements like decorative stones or lighting to really make your design stand out. There's also nothing wrong with going for a drive around the neighbourhood and borrowing some ideas from other homes.

I recommend you start by planning out the space and getting some ideas down on paper. As easy layout tool I often use is the Gardena myGarden planner.
