How to fix mirror cabinet door?

Attaching pictures of the cabinet door which seems like it is gone for good. Is there any way this can be fixed, or do I have to replace the cabinet?

BTW, I tried re screwing the bolts and they seem to lose the grip in the holes already available on the door and are not fitting in. Thank you.

Thank you for your question about reattaching hinges to your cabinet door.

Luckily, this is a relatively easy repair that can use the screws that you already have.

You'll need a drill, a 7mm Drill Bit and some 7mm Green Wall Plugs.

Using the 7mm drill bit, make the existing screw holes larger. Be careful not to drill through the other side of the cabinet door. If you have some concerns, you can measure the thickness of the door and transfer that measurement on to the drill bit using a piece of tape. This will give you a gauge for depth and will tell you when to stop drilling.

Once the hole has been drilled out, you will need to cut the 7mm wall plugs down slightly so they do not sit proud of the doors face.

Now the wall plugs are in place, you simply need to drive the screws through the hinge into the green plugs. The green plugs will expand out, securing the screw in place.

To my eyes the hinge connection to the door is elongated horizontally with a lotta dead space top and bottom, hence only 'tight' on the two sides indicated below. I think I can also see wood missing and the interior of the edge laminate back.

I was thinking of looking around for bigger gauge screws (since you already have the pilot holes) and adding some Selleys Rapid Cure Ultimate Strength liquid nails to the two contact sides.

Glue, insert, screw and wipe any excess away with turps.

Just another thought.

And I too, would like to see how you get on with this. I believe it's a fairly common problem.
