How to repair a hole in a door?

Question

Hey, This is the first time that i am facing this issue so i need full guidance how to fix it. Hole in the door as you can see in the picture what filler( which will match the door colour), sander and equipment required for this whole thing?

I trust Eric's advice was helpful.

Just wanted to add that replacing the door might be an affordable alternative. Bunnings has a door installation service you could also utilise.

Please let us know if you need suggestions for suitable replacements if you go down that route.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your door.

The general steps are to remove all the debris in the hole, put supporting timber inside the hole and fill the spot with builder's bog. Sand the surface down then prime and paint the surface.
