How can I fix plasterboard from toilet roll holder bracket?

Happy New Year everyone,

Can you help let me know how to mend this wall please?

My family accidentally hit the toilet roll holder and the bracket came off.

I'm not sure if the wall plug is also the right one to use with this type of wall.

I think all you need to do is Glue those plaster anchors back in place into the wall.

First with a pair of scissors trim of the paper bits sticking out flush with the wall or as close as possible.

Blow any loose dust off.

Fill the holes with glue on the edges and put glue on the white threads and on the base of the metal bracket.

And slowly screw it into the wall. At first the bracket will be loose until the glue sets so put some tape across the silver bracket to hold it flush with the wall for 24 hours.

The repair won't be as strong as original 100% but should do the trick vs a messy plaster repair.

To fix the wall, you'll need to patch the hole created when the bracket came off. Start by removing the loose material and filling the hole with a suitable plasterboard filler, smoothing it over with a putty knife. Once it's dry, sand it down to ensure a smooth, level surface. After patching, it's a good idea to move the toilet roll holder to a new location with fresh, strong material in the wall. This will provide better support and ensure the new wall plugs and screws hold properly.

Be sure to use more substantial wall fixings for plasterboard, like spring toggles that expand behind the wall for a secure fit. Once you've relocated the bracket, drill new holes, install the correct fixings, and then reattach the holder.
