Been trying to work out a fix for this broken spout. It seems to have just come loose from the base and now water leaks out the join when the tap is turned on. Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe some type of sealant or glue on the join? There doesn’t seem to have been any glue before, just metal on metal. I did buy a new tap set thinking I would just replace the whole set however I’m having trouble unscrewing the black plastic nut on the underside of the old spout (at T-junction) as it seems to be too tight. Also it seems the tap doesn’t come in brushed anymore, only chrome.
Short of calling a plumber is there anything else I could try?
