How to build wood planter boxes?

Hi,

I would like to build some wooden planter boxes. Without concrete etc. elevated if possible, however not a deal breaker if not.  Can someone please tell me/link of the exact wood/equipment  and steps needed? 

I’ve been googling/videos but keep getting America diy pages or with concrete which I don’t want. 

The boxes will be on pebbles. The area is approx 1m x 5m and in full sun most of the day.
