How do I mount this powerboard?

I can't quite figure out what type of screw to use to mount this powerboard. The mounting holes are oddly shaped - in that the internal shape matches the external shape, so there's actually nowhere for a screw head to lock in to. Every screw head I try is easily knocked out.

Is there a special type of screw / way to mount this?

I am trying to avoid adhesive-type mountings, as this particular power board hosts a cord that is frequently plugged & unplugged, which has led to previous adhesive mounts pulling the paint off the wall.

If needed - the powerboard is a Crest PWA06021.

There is a plastic insert @divergentmojo than bends as you push the screw head in and move forward.

Here's a fire bucket.

And an 8G 19 mm self tapper. This is an Arlec power-board.

It's all about trial and error.

As @Noyade has said, I suspect in the narrow part of the cutout, the plastic will flex to accept a screw head. As long as the screw head fits in the large part and is wider than the narrow part, it should work.

I imagine there will be a variety of screw heads, such as a countersunk or button head screw, that will work, it is just a matter of trial and error.

My suggestion would be to head into your local store with your power board, then head to the screw aisle and test a few different things. I'm sure the Builders team would be happy to help you find a suitable screw that works with your power board.

Make sure whatever screw you use is suitable for what it is being screw into as this is more important in terms of holding power. If it is timber, use a timber screw, if it is metal, use a metal screw.
