How to stop water pooling on grass?

 hi there,

getting a big downpour here in vic and woke up to the grass flooding essentially. I’ve got one tiny storm riser in the corner of the grass but it’s clearly not going to everything from a 100m2 of lawn. The grass definitely is not even. Lots of low spots and there is pools in every one of them so I was going to try and even it all out in spring with sand but feeling I need drainage as well.  I’ve swept a big amount toward the drain but I can’t be doing this every time it rains. What would be the best solution. Trench and add more storm risers or agi drain? 
would I go across the whole lawn?

I suggest having a look at this guide and discussion regarding diverting water from your lawn - Adding drainage to fix a muddy lawn, and returfing by @Ben and How to fix a muddy lawn by @Adam_W. After reading the discussion and guide, I suggest creating a drain plan on paper that will address the water pooling on your lawn. Once you've finished your drawing share it with the community along with any questions you might have. At the same time our members will assess your plan and see if there are any extra recommendations we can add.    

The general suggestions would be to install socked agi-pipe drains in your lawn to divert pooling water and re-direct them to your storm water drain. Install surface channel drains such as the Everhard 3m EasyDRAIN Polymer Grate And Prejoined Channel. My only other suggestion would be to strategically place French drains along the length of your lawn where water tends to gather. Your idea of creating a fall in winter is definitely a good idea.

Please note that linking your drain system to your storm drain will require the services of a plumber for safety and compliance.
