How to remove push fit fittings?

Hi again folks,

Question regarding T-bar fitting that resides underneath the basin. In order to remove what I believe are push fit fittings, do I first need to remove the t bar connection entirely or can I just remove the push fittings? If so, how do I do this? All the videos I've seen of individuals doing this, are doing it with the T-bar ready to be installed, not underneath the basin.

Hello @TJP

It will be necessary to remove or disassemble both of the taps from the basin in order to pull the taps apart and get the "T bar" out. Cutting the T bar is an option but the taps will still need to be removed and pushed apart in order to install the new T bar.

Would the Craftright 32mm tube and pipe cutter be adequate for the cut?

Where would the best spot to make the cut be?

Unfortunately, cutting through and altering a plumbing supply line is work that requires a plumbing licence and therefore should be left to a licensed professional.

For this reason, we are unable to advise further.

It could be my eyes @TJP, but it appears to me the copper piping is the only thing keeping this basin upright?

As per @JacobZ - please get a plumber involved. They can remove all that nasty copper, help you install new taps, spout, T-piece and mini-taps at the wall for lazy hookers.

And then get them to remove your spindle...
