How to stop condensation on windows and mould?

I have an old brick house posisbly 80 years old.

In the living room there is a large window which is great for letting light in, BUT, there is a problem.

The window creates so much condensations that builds up and result in a never ending mold problem.

I attached a photo of the window from outside and a close up photo of the condensation.

The condensation is from inside the window though.

We do have a split system in the room, this is usually on during the day on the heater setting in winter and we set the temperature to around 19 degrees. 

Anyone here dealt with similar problem and found a solution?

I'm desperate and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks for sharing your question about condensation on your windows. There have been a few discussions about this topic and the general consensus has been to wipe down the windows or use a dehumidifier in the room. There is one more method I would like to suggest and that is to cover your window frame with plastic. I propose putting double sided tape around your window frame and covering it tight with builder's clear plastic. This will create an air buffer that can reduce the temperature difference between the inside air and the windowpane, thus reducing condensation. 

It's not a perfect solution because if there are any air leaks in the double-sided tape water vapour will still be able to enter the gap so its important that it be fully sealed.
