How to remove paint from steel rangehood?

I was touching up some plywood what sits behind this flue cover for our new rangehood. I was first putting in primer with tiny brush and accidently dropped the little brush. Some primer dots flew and hit the powder coated steel

I wiped most of it straight away with metho but I noticed some today that I must of missed and its dried. Metho wont get this off easily now

Are there any other tricks I can try to get it off?

Also I wont use method again as its made a cloudy mark on the steel ( marked in red ) unsure if anyone knows how to make that go away either.

The only other chemical I'm aware of that you can use is cleaning vinegar. Let a drop of cleaning vinegar sit on top of the paint for a few minutes and once it softens up use water, detergent and a toothbrush to remove the paint. Wipe surface with a clean paper towel. Try the same thing on the cloudy mark, but please make sure you are using a super clean rag or use clean paper towels. Wipe away from the affected spot and do not use circular motions to wipe the surface.

I would give this product a crack. It's a very mild abrasive cream which you gently rub on with a clean cloth. It's staggering how well it works across a range of situations. Just yesterday I use dit on a laminated benchtop I had a rented candle on that left an imprint of the label on it. 10sec of using Gumption and it was gone. The other go-to we use is bar keepers friend.

Hi @PatDIY_Dad ,

Since it is paint that is splattered, why not try Turpentine? If you think it may affect the steel (no reason why it should) you could try wiping a little dab on a section that is out of sight first. Dab it on each paint spot with a cotton bud. Soapy water will remove the excess Turps.

😕 I feel your pain, I had the same type of deal when I was painting my corridor and ended up with tiny paint drop/mist on the varnished floorboards. I thought I had wiped it all away... Nope. In the end I used a brand new stanley blade knife and at a very shallow angle I went in and lifted each tiny piece. It worked, just took patience to remove them all. I also had one of those soft colourful clothes you get in the multipacks from Bunnings and would wipe the surface inbetween removing the paint spatter. Afterwards I went over it with a cedar floor polish and I cant find any drops anymore.
