How to renovate laundry cabinetry and si... | Bunnings Workshop community
Desire: to remove the old large laundry tub and make the room more functional with additional storage. Time approx. 2-3 days (over a week)
Steps
Step 1
1) Replaced the wall taps with Estillo Wall Top Asembly taps. No other plumbing touched.
2) The Specrite timber panel bench was cut in two with for the bench and a side panel.
3) The bench top was bracketed to the brick wall using brackets that were made and then connect the two panels together to create the look. (no cost)
4) Left 50mm gap between the wall and bench top for the cords and hoses
5) Decided to not have the timber bench on the base cabinet and bought another piece of white panel (not sure which one) but is 16mm which was cut down to size and cut to insert the sink.
6) Added Flatpax 600mm Utility 2 Door Base Cupboard and Drilled a hole in the bench side panel and also in the base cabinet to filter through the washing machine outlet hose and attached to the S bend/trap (there was already an ability to attach it, which wasn’t used before). Base cabinet was painted with left over Dulux Renovation - primer and paint (colour silver tea set).
7) On the wall above the base cabinet added some wall tiles which were left over from a previous project
