If you're using a computer to access the site, you can simply drag and drop multiple images into the text editor. I hope that is a quicker and easier way for you when you want to upload multiple photos.

When you upload an image into the editor, a menu appears at the top of the image. You can click the second icon to change the default image size. It can be small, medium or large. I'll make the following screenshot small.

You can also choose where it is aligned by clicking the first icon.

Note that we've currently hidden these options when you Share a project as we were having some issues with it, but the team is working on a fix.

When you return to a discussion you have already read, you should be taken to the first unread reply. You'll see the URL is a little different when you return. It has #latest at the end of it.

You can also change the sort order of the replies from Oldest to Newest if you like.

We’ve been aware that some users have experienced very slow performance when replying to posts. So sorry about that.

Our team has identified the issue was being caused by the “light box”viewer - the ability to click on an image and view a larger version of it.

We have switched off the light box functionality as a temporary fix for the performance issue.

I’m finding the new platform a bit heavier to use than before. Navigation feels slower overall and the site seems more intensive on my computer (which is odd, considering it's high end), particularly when scrolling through image-heavy discussions. It just doesn’t feel quite as smooth or lightweight as the previous version yet.

The new project layout is probably my biggest sticking point. I really preferred the old step-by-step format as it made projects far easier to follow and reference later. Now that everything sits in one long block it looks less structured and not nearly as neat, especially on larger builds where you want to clearly separate stages. I first noticed this on my ensuite bathroom post. It also makes it harder to jump back to a specific part of a project without a lot of scrolling. A few others have already raised navigation quirks and formatting frustrations, and I’d agree it currently feels like more effort is needed to present things cleanly.

Drafts don’t seem reliable for me at the moment either. I lost my entire powder room project after assuming it had saved properly. I've restarded writing my posts in word until that’s resolved, it makes starting larger project posts feel a bit risky.

Totally agree with your assesment of the new site. My issue is with the ntification emails dissappearing and we have to rely on notifications. I'm feeling considerably disconnected from the forum as I have notifications by email set for everything and I am only receiving one or two emails a day when previously I recieved a single email but with 10 or more updates.

It's reaching the point where it isn't worth continuing as I am so disconnected!

I can see the edit function in the top right of my post, I've added in "Edit Top Right of Post" to show this.

While I’m here, I did want to raise something about the new profile layout. Profiles feel a lot less homey than they used to.

Previously when you clicked into someone’s page you got a genuine sense of who they were in the community. You had profile images, badges, views, and a bit of personality straight away. Now it feels quite stripped back and a little clinical, more like a basic account summary than a community profile.

It would be great to see some of that personality brought back. Restoring profile and cover images would make a huge difference straight away, even if optional. Making badges more visible again, bringing back profile views, and showing a clearer snapshot of someone’s activity or contributions would help profiles feel more alive and engaging.

A few extra ideas that could improve things:
• A short “about” section so people can add a bit of personality or background
• Featured posts or projects to highlight what someone contributes most
• A visible activity timeline showing recent discussions or helpful replies
• Customisable layout options so users can choose a more detailed or minimal profile
• Community milestones or contribution highlights to celebrate long-term members

and don't forget seperate profile and cover photos!

Yeah saw the new edit option just after posting hence the deleted post!

My personal opinion of the new forum is that it is a retrograde step but I doubt my opinion will change anything! I also agree with your ideas for future enhancements!

I worked for a major corporate company some years ago and wasn't popular when after the roll out of a new system, we were asked how things could have been done better and I suggested they would have been better off not rolling it out and when we couldn't do our jobs, asking what they needed to do to facilitate that! This reminds me of that!

Regarding the notifications, we've taken a conservative approach with them to begin with and can look at increasing the content in the future. I hadnt considered that feeling on our profile pages and yeah the new one has no warmth I must admit.

I do have a question as I trie dto replicate that screenshot you took of my profile, nope cant find how to get to it anywhere lol I am sure I am missing something. However the more concerning thing for me is the background pic, thats not mine, it almost looks like mine as you glaze past it but nooooo its not mine. Someone has done a nice job :) but nope. How did you get to that?

@Remarka6le has mocked up a concept for a profile page using your account information because you are one of our most visible members. The image he has uploaded does not exist within our website. That is why you can't find something that looks the same.

Thought it would be a bit vain of me to do one of my own profile, so did the first scroll up name I saw 😅. Simply a run through a generative ai of my ideas after a rough sketch that I think would make it homier within Bunnings workshops established style. Also like the idea of a "Full Profile" that displays things like your favourite completed project, and a list of 3 of your favourite Bunnings workshop projects completed by other people to really give this place that community vibe. It's showcasing your personal favourite along with what you think are awesome from other creators, so people visiting your profile can also check out other peoples work.

Now that I'm rolling on the suggestions train, given how many people now work from home, Office has become a major renovation focus. Doesn't really fit in any topic given and I'm pretty sure I put mine in "Whole of house". Built-ins, acoustic treatment, lighting, desk setups, storage and multi-use spaces are a huge topic on their own. It doesn’t really fit neatly into living/bedroom and it’s no longer niche. Would love to see it become its own category when sharing a project.

hahahahah :) Yeah I get you, I do like the idea of showcasing a few projects that users like on their user page. That would be interesting. I think the page may evolve a bit more as Bunnings bed it in. I am kinda looking over my shoulder telling "me" not to stress and go with it more then going "thats a nope" I get very comfy in the tractor "rut" and happily rumble along. But also love the idea of omething new, going between those two states is the uncomfortable part.

The new style has a large amount of backend stuff being done, I am presuming it will mean making things easier to impleiment down the track. I never really fuss too much about where to put a project as some I have done are outside scope like your office. Trying to remember what a project was called so I can search for it is a harder one. For instance one project that I really found interesting was an install of a dry stream bed on a property. I cant remember the name of the user but can picture the project :) As much as I dislikeusing AI it shoudl be able to class out photos as whatever they represent :) and that opens up a whole range of abilities in searching.
