How to install curtain rod into ceiling?

Hello,

I would like to install a curtain rod on the ceiling going halfway across the pictured opening, to hang lightweight curtains.

I know that when installing load-bearing stuff into the walls, you should do it at a place where there is a stud. Are there similar studs in the ceiling, and if not, is there any workaround to attach the curtain rod?

Let me first compliment you on your Monstera plant, it looks fantastic and it's great that you've managed to guide it along your wall and ceiling. If you are installing the curtain rod along the same location behind the Monstera leaves this would be a good place to mount it. I'm quite sure that there is a timber frame in that ceiling corner edge. I propose using the Zenith 8G x 60mm Countersunk Rib Head Chipboard Screws - 50 Pack to anchor the curtain rail holders to the ceiling.

If you happen to hit a spot that does not have a stud behind it, I suggest using the Cobra 5 x 60mm FlipToggle Anchor Screws/Bit - 10 Pack as a hollow cavity anchor. My best advice is to make sure that the majority of the rail holders be mounted onto the timber ceiling frame.
