How to fix half-flush button on toilet?

The half flush button on my toilet is not working. The full flush button is.

I took out the cylinder [?: sorry, I know nothing about toilets]: when I depress the full flush button all seems to work well; if I press the half flush button a component pops out. See a video: I depress the full flush 3 times, then the half flush. https://photos.app.goo.gl/bmRf3BnHmutHJKYRA

Does the whole cylinder need to be replaced? Or one component? It looks a bit fiddly to ignorant me.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about flushing mechanism.

I am unfamiliar with the exact brand and model of your flushing mechanism. However, having seen your video, it's quite clear that a plastic mechanical part has been broken inside. I don't think there are spare parts for it, and it would be better to replace the entire flushing unit. If you can please post a photo of the top section of the flushing unit and a full body photo, I might be able to recommend a replacement unit that will work with your cistern.
