Hi again,
Preparing to paint and have discovered this crack in my kitchen ceiling. Have found a couple of articles on how to repair but would appreciate guidance on repairing and best products for this.
Thanks!
Hello @roximn
Thank you for sharing your question about repairing a puncture in your ceiling. I suggest carefully removing the small plaster section that has lifted off the ceiling board. Clean the section of loose paper and plaster debris. If the back of the hole is not very big, I propose covering it with UNi-PRO 500g Multi Purpose Interior Filler. However, if the hole is big and the patch will need support, I suggest putting in a piece of timber in the hole and using glue or adhesive to keep it in place. Once the glue cures and the timber piece is steady you can then fill the hole with filler.
When the filler cures you can then sand it down with sandpaper to the same level of the ceiling. You can then wipe the surface clean of sanding dust using Selleys Sugar Soap Wall Cleaning Wipes. When you've cleaned the surface, you can then paint the patch with some ceiling paint.
