How to build a hooped cover for veggie garden?

I want to fully enclose a veggie garden 20m x 6m with a timber fence to 1.2m high then some sort of poly/agricultural pipe to make hooped structure for roof that will be covered with netting. Aiming for max height about 2.5m. Wondering what size and type of pipe would be best and can I just screw it to timber or should I put it over star pickets? Thanks

Considering the height and large size of the garden, wind would be a factor and something like this, which would have a more rigidity than poly pipe would likely be a better option.

If you were to use conduit, as you have a fence around the garden, then you could simply attach the conduit to the fence posts using pipe saddles.

After the frame is in place, you could then attach your shade cloth by adding eyelets to the shade cloth, then tying it off with cable ties.
