How to modify kitchen sink to stop water splashing on floor?

hi, I got a brand new kitchen installed on Wednesday and after started the clean up, I noticed that the sink is very close to the edges on both sides and the water can easily splash to the floor.
can someone give me ideas or recommend a product I could use to prevent constantly drying my floor?

It is somewhat unclear what is causing the level of splashing described, as under normal conditions, it is usually possible to wash up without significant amounts of water exiting the sink bowl.

It may be worth considering whether the issue is related to water pressure or tap flow rate. If the water is coming out too forcefully, it can hit the sink bowl and rebound outward, increasing splashing.

In most standard kitchen setups, some minor splashing around the sink is expected, which is why sinks are often installed against a wall with a splashback. However, excessive water on the floor is not typically normal and may indicate a combination of factors such as tap pressure, sink design, or washing technique.

To reduce the issue, you could try lowering the water flow at the tap and being more deliberate in directing water within the sink area during use. Additionally, placing a waterproof floor mat in front of the sink may help manage any occasional spills.

If the problem persists, it may be useful to reassess the tap flow rate or consider whether any additional splash protection (such as a small splash guard or higher splashback) could be installed.
