How to return power board with lights that don't switch off?

I have a Click brand 5 outlet power board and tool rack purchased from Bunnings, Victoria Point, Qld. The receipt has been lost in a garage refurbishment that also revealed all the switches on the unit stay on when connected to 240V. Neither the power point nor the LED light switches can be switched off. Can I take the unit back for replacement?

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your power board.

You can absolutely take it back to your local store for assessment. For faulty items, we’d typically need proof of purchase to confirm warranty, but our team can often help track down your receipt using details like the store (Victoria Point), approximate purchase date and payment method.

If it’s a relatively recent purchase, I’d recommend bringing it into store and having a quick chat with the team at the Service Desk. They’ll be able to check it over and work with you on a suitable resolution.

Fascinating!

I have a similar product.

In this photo the board is 'live' - the lit indicator above the plug would indicate to the casual observer that the plug is powered.

But no, its actually off!

The only way to extinguish the LED light - is to remove the plug…

Note the 'off' USB charger has a very, very faint glow.

Both are now powered on. It's as if the power-board circuitry is detecting an appliance that has a large wattage and will illuminate even in the off state?

And yes I replaced it - three times! 😁

First, the issue of the missing receipt resolved itself by being discovered.

Thanks to the helpful staff at Bunnings Victoria Point, I returned home with a replacement unit today. However, upon testing it, the same problem was revealed - neither the work light nor the any of the 5 outlets could be turned off using their dashboard switches. The only way the situation was resolved was by disconnecting the unit from its power source. It's going back to Bunnings tomorrow where I will start looking for a replacement power board.
