Is there a general warranty period on boots sold at Bunnings? Six months? Twelve months?
Or does it depend on the specific brand?

The warranty period can depend on the specific brand and product. For example, Blundstone boots come with a six-month manufacturer's warranty.
If there are any particular brands or boots you're interested in, let me know and I'd be happy to find out what the warranty period is for you.

Thanks for that @MitchellMc. I'm still in shock - I learnt this morning that all RESA's boots only have 6 months warranty. These $225 boots from them failed in the zipper department after six months - and one week = no comeback.
So, shopping for black leather steel caps and NO zippers.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of the warranty for those boots, as they are not sold at Bunnings . However, if you experience an issue with boots purchased from Bunnings outside the manufacturer's warranty period, I'd still encourage you to contact the store of purchase.

In the meantime - I have invented a new fashion statement - Zipper Piercing.
A 2.5mm drill drilled at two angles which 'meet' in the centre, as there is a significant aluminium body to play with - key ring inserted. Works well. Patent pending.
