How to dog-proof gate and fence?

Question

hi there brain trust. Looking for ideas how to small dog proof our side gate and side fence in the picture with our sloping driveway. The door closest to the house has about 10 cm gap near the middle, 20 cm gap under the door closest to the fence, 30 cm gap near the gutter/drainage and we have gap about 33 cm between the gate and side fence. We would like the doors to still be able to open and close properly but unable to come up with any proper material to use. Many thanks

For the right-hand side - I was thinking of anchoring a capped galvanised pipe welded to steel plate onto that concrete 'ledge', like a bollard - maybe 500 mm high? Your dog wouldn't be able to negotiate a way past this - unless he/she enters the abyss?

Just an interested observer @ycdieu - large rubber strips would be my choice as well. Cheap and easily replaced as time goes by. 👍️

@JacobZ's suggestion is a good one and one of the main reasons is it stops your doggo from peering under the fence so therefore they wont want to crawl through the gap.

You could attach something rigid to the left hand gate tho it looks like you only will be able to cover 50mm of height. The rubber is much more flexible a solution. Also one thing in mind is to keep an eye on the overall weight of the gate plus skirt as the post on the right may need strengthening.

As to the space on the right of the post. mmmm I would be tempted to install another post close to the existing one and have two arms to the right so they almost reach the fence. If you use the same colourbond as the gate it will match. I would actually give the edge next to the fence a channel to make it rigid and not wobble in the wind. (Think of it as a side mounted for sale sign) You will need to make a smaller rectangle for the bit in the drain area using the channel as well.
