What to replace the fly screen retaining clips with?

snipwhip

Hi,

I've got a few flyscreen clips that have worn out or are missing. What can I get to replace them? I can't seem to find the exact ones for my window flyscreen. I just want to get something easy to install and holds the flyscreen snugly against the window frame so there's less gap. Thanks.

Hi @snipwhip,

Unfortunately, we don't appear to have any retaining clips that closely resemble the ones you currently have.

One potential alternative would be these Rolltrak Aluminium Retaining Spring Clips. They work by using the spring tension in the clip to press against the edge of the flyscreen frame and hold it firmly in position. The clip can then be flexed back when you need to remove the screen. They are a different design to your existing clips, but they may provide a relatively simple alternative.

I'd also suggest Googling the writing or markings visible on the existing clip. There may be a manufacturer or part number stamped into it that could help identify the original hardware or a direct replacement.

Let me know what you think.
