Here is a build that I did in my garage. It is made mainly out of 18mm MDF. I have attached a before and after photo. The vertical draws are to hold 1lt paint/stain cans. It has plenty of storage.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Razzer. It's fantastic that you've joined us and many thanks for sharing your project.
That's a serious setup you've created yourself there, I'm very impressed and a bit jealous. Did you use Formply for the draws instead of the MDF?
We look forward to seeing what projects you create on your new setup and I trust you'll find loads of inspiration for them from within the community. Please let us know anytime you have something to share with our members or if you require any assistance on one of your projects.

Yes I used the NON structural formply for the draws and ply for the draw bases. The draw fronts are MDF with 2 coats of High build spray putty, sanded smooth and then 3 coats of gloss black. It came out super smooth and might have to much shine for the garage.
great job looks a well planed
Awesome! Where did you get the T-track?
Thanks for joining in the discussion @mcandrew. Let me tag @Razzer so he is alerted to your question about hte T-track.

Gday mcandrew, I got the T-track from Hare and Forbes. Think it was about $30 for 1.2m piece, so I got 2. Pretty easy to install with a router.
@Razzer Wow I absolutely love this!! What a fantastic project. So many uses and has helped reorganise your garage space aswell. Great job!!!
Razzer - this is an awsome setup - well done!
Tell me what are the 6 vertical sliders on either side of the dropsaw? How do you use them? I need to do something similar, so other people's successes are always a good guide!
Thanks

Welcome,
Gday @Netorius - The vertical draw slides are for holding 1lt Paint and Stain cans. I can access from both side when open. Thinking of making some so I can put spray paint cans aswell, but will need to put some bungee to stop it from falling out.
@Jason Thanks for the tip! Look forward to many DIY tips and advice.
mate, this is epic. very sexy 👌
Love the way you built the drop saw into the bench and the ducted dust collector. The little stoppers for distance gauging is simple but looks effective. Might give it a go. Well done.
This is just amazing @Razzer Ummm where do you live? interested in making another? Since you have done such an amazing job on this one it will take you half the time to make another... 🙂 Just love it. It would look amazing in my workshop. You have thought of everything. How big is it Razzer? Did it take you very long? Would have been a great ISO project that's for sure. Keep up your amazing work.
Wow that is outstanding!
Im on the Mornington Peninsula. Stuck in my house aswell. Its 3m long and 1.9 high. It only took me 2 weeks to build it after work. Im building another one for my mate but its alot different. She is renting, so cant fix it to the wall. Think it cost me about $600 for everything. I would change the fence though, would prefer the track to be on top with a flip down stopper. As it does get stuck in a few places. I have also added a dust collector from the bottom (wish I thought of it at the start). Just waiting for the larger dust collector to arrive, I went for a twin bag 3hp model. I have the Full boar dust collector but needed a bigger one for the new tools coming soon. Im building cabinets in the rest of the garage during ISO, just to keep me some what sane.
That is absolutely fantastic, what a great idea, and really well done.
Timbercon have great T Track and slightly less expensive www.timbecon.com.au/torquata-aluminium-t-track
@Razzer
I really like the way you have run the fence with the t-track the full length, was it tricky cutting in the actual saw fence?
How thick is the fence with the t-track?
Gday @unsoundguy
The track was super easy to cut, I used the dropsaw with the normal blade to cut it. Once I cut it to size, I moved it about 1mm from the blade. Didnt want the blade to touch it. I only used 19 KD hardwood for the fence, I had it lying collecting dust in the garage. I used a trimmer to cut out the groove, I did it in 4 passes cause I was using a 10mm router bit and didnt want it to rip the timber apart. Hope that helps you out.
I have been looking around for ideas for my sliding dropsaw set up, thanks for sharing this, I probably won't go as far as this but the concept is something I will follow. Cheers.

@Razzer,
So you made all the drawers and stuff for this project?
Even if you didn't, that is a really solid effort.
I like how it turned out.
Cheers,
Mike T.
"Once I cut it to size, I moved it about 1mm from the blade. Didnt want the blade to touch it."
So looking closer.
Is it possible to make a mitre or angled cut?
90 Degrees only?
Gday @MikeTNZ
Yep I built everything, the draw sides took forever to cut each one. Wish I had the tablesaw back then.
Gday @Noyade
I only use this saw for docking. So no mitre cuts, I use the table saw to do mitre cuts. I may change the design a little with the new dropsaw and it has a larger base then the one I was using. I ended up buying the Makita LS1019. Its so much nicer then the old one.
