A gabion bench seat with decorative rocks and built-in firewood storage.
The project
The gabion cage is a simple box construction with wire u-nailed to the front and then rocks dropped in from above.
I only wanted the rocks at the front as a decorative feature so didn't need a large volume of rocks to fill the full gabion cage.
I built the frame using H3 treated Pine and clad with decking boards. The decking boards are some kind of red Australian hardwood from a reclamation yard.
