Hello Bunnings,
I have a Swap 'n' Go gas bottle that we no longer use. Are we able to swap it in without getting a new one?
Cheers
Hello @pqtrick
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your questions about the Swap "N" Go gas bottle.
I suggest bringing your gas bottle to your local store and speaking to the team at the customer service counter and letting them know that you would like to surrender your Swap "N" Go gas bottle. I'm sure they will do their best to assist you.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Cheers, will do!
G'day @pqtrick
I'm just an interested observer - but I would love to know how you get on. 😁
I just rang my local Swap "N" Go 'dealer' and asked the same question on the phone.
There was a long pregnant pause, then - "I'll have to get back to you on that."
I can think of reasons why they wouldn't - but I'll let you know what happens.
Cheers!
They were happy to take the gas bottle back at my local Bunnings 🙂
That's good.
BP Swap-N-Go were also happy to accept just an empty cylinder.
I should add - Elgas were less forthcoming and believed no cylinder should be accepted or exchanged (in the Swap-N-Go syetem) if the pressure testing label is out of date. They're dreaming.
Hi,
After reading about returning empty gas bottles to Bunnings i took one to Woodville Bunnings only to be told no, as there is no room in the cage only if you are taking another bottle even though there was room. So I took it to my local BP service station who were happy to take it .not happy Bunnings
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @pagey.
Apologies for the confusion and inconvenience caused.
I’ve been in contact with the leadership team at Bunnings Woodville, and they have confirmed they are more than happy to accept empty gas bottles that are in usable condition, provided there is space available in the storage cage at the time.
We also offer a bottle return credit system in some circumstances, such as when customers are moving interstate and no longer require their gas bottle.
I’m sorry your experience didn’t reflect this, but I appreciate you taking the time to share the feedback, which I have provided to the in-store team.
Many thanks, Mitchell
