Checked forum posts like this: https://www.workshop.bunnings.com.au/t5/Bathroom-and-Laundry/What-to-do-when-tap-spindles-aren-t-long-enough/td-p/47155
But 2 issues I am facing:
1. The spindle thread is not long enough, so when I fit it in the main pipe, there is nothing left to put the locking nut in. So I am unable to put the part which would be in front of the tiles. I should specify that the water pipe is quite deep inside wall (maybe because of the shower tiles, it went further).
2. Even when I turn the spindle right on the pipes, when I switch on the shower tap, water is leaking from it . See the 2nd image, it's coming from the side of the plumbers tape. One side is good, the other side is leaking.what can I do to stop the leaking.. also when I take it out, I see the rubber round washer staying there and it's little bit to the left and not straight inside the pipe hole. Can I put 2 washers and try? I am thinking of anything to fix it, pardon me if I am completely wrong here.
