Hi, we have mould issues in the bathroom ensuite and we need to replace an exhaust fan as shown in the pics.
1. How can I eradicate these mould issues for good?
Any suggestions or recommendations please?
2. Could there be something else wrong or need to inspect at first for the mould issues?
3. How much will cost to replace the cracked exhaust fan like to like? Please note the exhaust fan is in another bathroom which does not have mould issues.
Please see pics attached. Thanks.
Hello @Mal4
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your bathroom ceiling and exhaust fan.
I suggest having a look at this discussion - Solved: How to get rid of mould in bedroom ceiling by @ventodimare. There are some very clear recommendations on products that you can use to prevent mould from coming back. Here is a link to our best advice - How do you remove mould from the bathroom. Please keep in mind that bathrooms are high moisture environments and the best way to keep mould from coming back is to have good air circulation to prevent moisture from settling on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom.
The Exhaust And Heat Lamp Installation service is currently priced at $160 dollars. Please note that this does not include any extra parts or equipment the electrician may use to make sure that your equipment is installed safely and to code. I suggest looking at the IXL Tastic Mirage 3 In 1 Bathroom Heater Exhaust Fan And Motion Sensor LED and the IXL Tastic Silhouette 3 In 1 Bathroom Heat Fan Light which are similar in shape to the ones you currently have attached to your ceiling.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
