Sorry @RenoFun
I admit to being a little confused.
What is this dimension?
Maybe an optical illusion - but the metal and rubber 'appear' to protrude further than the door width?
You don't need rubber?
You don't need angle iron?
This is what I thought the situation was...
Cheers! 🤔
Ohh haha yes i like your diagram, the piece of steel is just the shaded bit.
The depth of the sliding door is just around 20mm, hope that helps
thanks again
OK.
I made another cut just now. This time 5 mm thick steel - so I can make a good countersink.
If I drill (5mm dia?) 10 mm from the edge - dead centre - this leaves a 5 mm 'lip' on the other side to catch the door?
Is this correct?
Below is 25 mm X 16 mm X 5mm...
Let me go check the size of the screw hole when i get home !! sorry i should have sent that earlier
Hi @Noyade, i wanted to show you the screw that goes into the metal plate, rubber and shower screen door. sorry i only had a chance to remove this just then, cross fingers it works? just wanted to double check
G'day @RenoFun
Yeah, that'll fit (but don't use that screw again). I drilled a 5 mm hole with a large 10 mm countersink.
I won't paint it. 😉
If it doesn't fit or suit. We can move onto Prototype No.3.
PM me your address - and I'll post it off.
Cheers.
