A neglected lawn in a narrow backyard was transformed into a paved outdoor entertaining area using recycled bricks with a metal arbor.
The project
Project was our small backyard which when we moved in wasn’t an inviting place to be. We wanted it to be somewhere we could relax in afternoons as a family.
We replaced the back fence, painted the retaining wall, replanted the garden beds and most recently, dug up a portion of the lawn and replaced with recycled red brick pavers. We cleaned these with hydrochloric acid and then swept off white coloured cement and sand between the cracks.
Surrounding the space with metal arbors we welded and painted with an undercoat and Monument metal shield paint. We hope to now grow wisteria up and over it.
