A sloped area was transformed into a new play area for the kids by adding a retaining wall and new turf.
The project
After years of neglect, this area was overgrown with weeds. I have not had a flat grass area for the kids to play so I wanted to transform this area. First, I used black Retain It Posts to support the sleepers.
I managed to find free fill, which was delivered.
After many wheelbarrow loads, I was able to level the soil ready to lay Sir Walter Turf (perfect for the shady area). I also made sure I created some decent drainage. The finished project is a 6 x 4m area of flat grass.
