New paint and koala print fabric helped to transform this old timber cabinet.

The project

Picked up this cute cabinet locally off Marketplace on Facebook. I gave it a light sand and a good clean with Sugar Soap Wipes. I used a medium sanding block and a fine sanding block for this one and hand sanded all of it.

I took it apart and gave it one coat of Taubmans 3-in-1 Primer and two coats of Taubmans semi-gloss paint in Shindig. I added some new and some recycled hardware. Then I took out the mirror panel at the back of the cabinet, wrapped in some koala fabric and placed the panel back into the cabinet.

Well done @sallie24! You turned your old cabinet from a bore to adorable. I really love your colour choice and cute wallpaper, it brings this cabinet to life.

Good afternoon @sallie24

Well I am going to have to start look at old cabinets now. I really didnt like the old timber styled cabinets, thought they were too 1990ish lol You have shown what can be done to bring them into now! Right down to the Koalas on the back! Nice saving an older piece of furniture
