CNC / Assembly table build

IMG_0127.jpegHi all,

Seeing I'm on some annual leave I'm actually getting a chance to use my workshop rather than using it for storage.  So I've started to organise it.

The first project over the last few days has been to build a table for my 6040 CNC that I can wheel around as its been sitting on a fixed table since I emptied out my storage units.

After building the table I added some drawers to store all the relevant bits and pieces for the CNC.

I'll post the plans shortly as I can't upload PDFs

I did want to build it a bit longer at 1200mm however was limited to the lengths of 35x70 timber available so is slightly shorter by 60mm than my posted plans

Re: CNC / Assembly Table Build

I couldn't upload PDF so have uploaded a screenshot of the plans I drew up in Fusion 360.  As you can see they don't include the drawers as these were done in situ after the build.

Some notes:

  • I used pocket holes for all frame and drawer joints with the exception of the legs
  • All the frame timbers were the short offcuts available from Bunnings.
  • Adjust leg heights to suit
  • Drawer Boxes and frame I used 15mm ply
  • Drawer bottoms 6mm ply

Re: CNC / Assembly table build

I used https://www.cutlistoptimizer.com/ for my drawer sheet cuts which is free for up to 10 optimisations per day.
