That's really cool - do you have the specs on that? I think my manboy would find it really useful

This is indeed proving very popular with the Workshop community @Wayne. If you could share some information about how you made it with the community it would be much appreciated. Thanks again for sharing.

Re: Cordless Drill Storage Charging Station

Unfortunately I didn't take a whole of pics when I made the Cordless Drill Storage/Charging Station.
The most difficult part was configuring and making the drill holders, I took the measurements of all my drills and particularly the largest bodied one, both the width and the height.Cordless Drill Charge Station1.jpg
The "holder" pieces are 260mm in length and 65mm wide, I used a spray paint can as a template to draw the circular front then cut them out on the band saw, 5 in total then cut 1 in half lengthways to become the outer pieces. The uprights measure 235mm x 70mm and these are glued and screwed to the holders and also the base section of the box structure. I used a 1/4" "roundover" bit and rounded off most of the edges on my router table. All of the stock used was either 19mm Pine or 19mm veneered MDF sheet cut to size.

I used this picture (found on https://au.pinterest.com/) of somebody elses creation as my guide and inspiration and the shelf concept is almost the same, a bottom shelf then an angled shelf to hold the chargers using some triangular cut pieces as the bracket supports. The angled shelf measures 220mm D x 520mm W and the flat shelf measures 290mm D x 520mm W, the angled shelf does not go all the way to the back, it is left open so that cords can be hidden behind it.

The side panels measure 300mm deep x 390mm high, there is a back panel which is 140mm x 19mm pine and also just a decorator front panel. The whole thing is glued and bradded or screwed.

I mounted a Power Board (with individual switching) on the back panel, that way I can leave the power on and just switch on/off the particular charging unit I want to use.

I never got around to give it a fine sanding and a coat of clear poly which is a shame because it would have come up a treat if I had. I hope this helps anyone wanting to make their own Cordless Drill Charging Station.
