Hey all so i want to build a timber wall inside my existing brick garage.
Im totally out of ny depth on this DIY stuff but want to give it a go none the less.
Where do i start with framing etc? What wood to use?
Thanks in advance
Hello @Amatuer84
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your brick garage.
I propose having a good look at these discussions - Garage lining for stud walls stage 1 by @Dave-1 and Garage lining for stud walls stage 2 by @Dave-1. It should give you a very good idea of how to frame up your garage. My best advice is to draw up a framing plan and make sure to measure each space accurately to get your frame to fit perfectly in the brick space.
I've placed some guides below to give you a starting point in your D.I.Y. journey. The general steps are to choose a starting point on your brick wall as the first space to be framed. You can then move forward section by section until you've gone around the room.
I also suggest looking at this discussion - What size battens for double brick in garage by @mossy_74
