How to replace this rivet?
The rivet holds a steel stirrup to a plastic backing
If I drill it out - is there a Bunnings product/device to re-rivet it?
A pop-rivet will not work.
Cheers!

Re: How to replace this rivet?
Hi @Noyade
Does this rivet clip onto the plastic backing? The closest products I've seen that might work are the Zenith Nickel Plated Assorted Snap Fasteners - 15 Set, the Craftright 7mm Eyelet Plier Kit, and the Kincrome M8 Aluminum Rivet Nut Insert - 10 Pack. You'll have to use a special tool with the Kinchrome Rivet Nut Insert.
These rivets and eyelets I recommended might be big enough to cover the hole, but I'm afraid they won't be as strong as the current rivet that you have installed.
Let me tag our experienced members @TedBear and @Brad for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Re: How to replace this rivet?
Many thanks for the suggestions Eric.
I wanted to make an orthopaedic Moon-boot more comfortable.
But in the end my wife told me to stop being a dick and leave it alone.
