I don't remember where I found this tool,

but I decided to give it some more life.

That is a very impressive restoration of a wood marking tool @PeterH . You can be proud of that result!!

Genuinely old ones can be quite expensive at "old-tool" stores, when in as good a condition as you've now made it 

I hope you can find or make the 2 marking spikes Marking tool spikes.jpgfor it.

@PeterHYou are obviously a man of vision.
Many people would look at that in its original condition and say "It's had it" and just throw it in the bin.
A beautiful job, and a real reminder of the quality of craftmanship in days gone by.
