timber or wood
well i don't know about the tools
and i don't know about the steps but you can look up the steps on AI overview or Google Gemini maybe.
do you think that you can design on the photos of the clock because i found this play school clock prop from 2000-2003 on three of those videos i'll send you the links here is the first one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twcCkSvJ3Vw and here is the second one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaw4mXLgYf8 and here is the last one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcBmRKlwF_k there you have it
Hi again Mitchell11,
It seems you are really fascinated by Play School designs!
Unfortunately, recreating this clock would not be a simple task within the realms of D.I.Y.
You would need to have an understanding of complex carpentry and have access to a fully kitted-out timber workshop.
I would be happy to offer guidance on how I think specific elements are constructed. Is that what you were after? I'm sorry, but I wouldn't be able to go any further and give you instructions on how to build this clock, but I hope other members might be able to share some more clues.
Please let us know what you are hoping to learn or achieve and we'd be happy to assist.
Jacob
that's ok but you can't give me the instructions for the play school clock prop but you can show me some photo designs of it but i know bunnings dosen't build things but they can make designs on computer and draw designs on the board or something
Hi @Mitchell11,
Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure what your end goal is. Is the plan to build the clock, or are you just intrigued by how we think it was built? Could you please let us know so we can help?
You've previously mentioned that you would speak with your dad and media teacher about a similar Play School project. Were you working on an assignment?
As per my previous message, the Workshop community is always more than willing to help with advice, but it can be difficult if we don't have enough information to go on.
Thanks again,
Jacob
I think we're all very happy to toss around ideas on how to build the clock @Mitchell11.
But I agree with @JacobZ, in that you're going to need some reasonably good wood-working tools.
Are you going to build it?
Have you looked in Bunnings for wood choices? Adhesive or screw-on number sizes? This will be important in determining the background disc sizes which will dictate the overall clock diameter.
Are you wanting to build this the same size as seen above?
Just some Sunday thoughts.
Cheers.
maybe it could be both actually Jacob
well i'm trying to but i think the clock face is made of plywood and yeah i think its plywood so and the hemispheres are made of wood i think and the numbers are from the numerals and letters and mailbox aisle and the clock hands are made of plywood but i will build it when i get the chance but i do like to see some more pictures of the play school clock prop only like the drawing designs of the clock prop and the computer model design of the play school clock prop
Just a thought @Mitchell11
Have you contacted the ABC?
Maybe, just maybe - they have 'blueprints' for all what was constructed back in this Play School era?
It sounds (reads) to me you want a PERFECT reversed engineered replica.
Yes?
Cheers.
yeah maybe but i haven't contact ABC Yet but you could actually
